SEVEN STRANGERS AND A DANGEROUS WOMAN EQUAL ONE DEGREE OF SEPARATION
Welcome to Steinberg Hackett, an artist management company located on the 80th floor of a New York skyscraper. Chris Skadi, a temp receptionist is manning the front desk when Rafe Wilson, an award-winning screenwriter, Orchid, a well-known talk show host, Dr. Carole, psychotherapist and widow of Steinberg’s partner, Antonio Velasquez, a sexy recording artist, and Catherine Chin, a beautiful actress, arrive for appointments with Phil Steinberg. They're kept waiting when Steinberg's caught in rush hour traffic. James Axley, a junior agent at Steinberg Hackett, is preparing to leave the office for the day. When Phil Steinberg finally arrives, a blackout suddenly shuts down midtown Manhattan affecting millions of people, especially the seven characters who find themselves caught after hours in the penthouse suite.
A backup generator provides lights, but they soon discover that they are trapped. Obviously elevators don't work during a blackout, but why can't they open the exit doors? Maybe it isn’t just a BLACKOUT. Could someone has tricked them into being there? Why this particular group? They seemingly have nothing in common. Even when secrets start to spill, they can’t find a connection. Or is there? Anything's possible in this BLACKOUT.
